Vocal Coaching

Vocal sessions are given online, and to prepare we will schedule a discovery call. Mentorships are typically 1, 2, or 3 months in duration, 6 plus months for more advanced students. 

Vocal lessons combine technique and vocal skill building with an embodied connection to the singer's voice. They include fully dedicated sessions with Lucia, tailored to each student, and designed to bring confidence, learning the language of music, and finding inspiration to live a fulfilled musical life.

These sessions have helped students land gigs, prepare for studio sessions, overcome fear , and bring forth full transformation in their voices. It’s about technique, and practice, yes, but it’s mostly about finding the courage and agency to be fully expressed in your own artistry. The goal here is not to be perfect, but to feel free, and connected to your instrument in ways you never have before.

When we sing with all our hearts, bodies and minds, we can be fully embodied creatives in the world.

Meet Lucia

Lucia Lilikoi is an educator, singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound-healer based in Los Angeles.

Inspired by her roots in classical piano from the Madrid Conservatory,  Jazz composition from Berklee College of Music, and vocal improvisation from luminaries Rhiannon and Bobby McFerrin, she continues to be a student of sound. Her music has been featured in film and television, and she has collaborated with Grammy-winning producers and artists.

A passionate educator, she founded The Voice Lab in 2011—a platform for vocal and creative empowerment— to support students to free their voice in a holistic approach, combining technique and musicality with embodiment, and inutition.

  • Lucia was born in Sevilla, Spain, and is now based between the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

    She has dedicated her life to music, trained as a classical pianist at the Madrid Conservatory, studying Jazz at Berklee College of music, vocal improvisation from luminaries Rhiannon and Bobby McFerrin, and sound healing at the California Institute of Integral Studies.

    Lucia has traveled across the world performing her original music, giving workshops in vocal improvisation, and hosting song circles. She is currently working on her 5th studio album, and has collaborated with Grammy winning producers and artists. Her songs and compositions have been featured on tv, films, and podcasts.

    Her fascination with the beauty, depth, and potential of the human voice is transmitted to her students as she continues to teach, perform, write, and study.

  • 1 MONTH MENTORSHIP

    A deeper dive

    During these sessions we take a deeper dive into vocal technique, creativity, songwriting, repertoire, and personal goals.

    Doing a month of consecutive lessons  you will develop a stronger understanding of your voice, and ways to sing more authentically.

    4 consecutive 55 minute lessons with Lucia

    Development of your voice and vocal expression

    Replay of your lessons and audio of warmup exercises

  • 3 MONTH MENTORSHIP

    For committed students

    In these 3 months together we find a flow, and we continue to work on technique, creativity, songwriting and repertoire, PLUS we go deep into vocal anatomy, improvisation, and ways to create music from your soul with ease and skill.
