Voice: The First Instrument
with Lucia Lilikoi
Our human voice is a vessel for transformation, emotion, and magic.
Through it, we communicate, create poetry, and transmit love — saying far more than words ever could through cadence, tone, and rhythm. And when we sing, the voice reaches its highest potential: a direct channel to presence, connection, and spirit.
In this half-daylong workshop, we’ll awaken the voice through breathwork, toning, playful improvisation, and rhythm.
Together, we’ll explore Circlesinging and body percussion, creating spontaneous songs that harmonize our collective energy and deepen our sense of belonging.
Rooted in ancient traditions of music improvisation found in cultures across the world, Circlesinging is both ritual and play — a space for healing, celebration, and transformation.
Come as you are. No singing experience necessary — just curiosity and an open heart.
Join Lucia on Sunday, November 16th for a masterclass on the instrument of the voice, fundamentals of singing, and vocal improvisation through circlesinging. We will also do some breathing exercises, and warmups to prime the voice. Lucia will use live-looping to create parts that participants can sing, creating an online choir aimed for creativity, self-expression, and finding beloved community through our voices.
Date: Sunday November 16t
Time: 11 am - 2 pm PST
Where: Online (zoom)
Registration: Details sent upon registration

“Our voice is our most intimate instrument. I love guiding people in unlocking the treasures of creative, emotional and transformational genius that moves through singing. Seeing my students find freedom, pleasure, and limitless self-expression through their singing voice is one of the biggest joys in my life."
