Teaching is one of the joys of my life. To get to meet someone musically, support my students, and watch them explore and blossom is truly, an honor. I have been teaching for close to two decades, and I love dedicating my time to music pedagogy.
In my lessons I combine technique and vocal skill building with song & repertoire, the freedom of vocal improvisation, and cultivating a creative practice. I tailor my classes to each student, depending on needs, goals, and wishes.
I have worked with professional singers, musicians, artists, healers, public speakers, and other creatives. My compass when teaching is always how much joy, freedom, and pleasure my students find through using their voice.

MY BACKGROUND
My background is first, in classical piano at the Real Musical Conservatory in Madrid, then vocal contemporary music & Jazz from Berklee College of Music in Boston, in vocal improvisation, from master singer and teacher Rhiannon, and in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus in sound healing from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. Each piece of my education has brought something invaluable to my life as a musician and as a teacher.
I draw from years as a singer, songwriter, performing and recording artist to share the tools that I’ve gathered and I find timeless.
Some of these tools are technical, and some are experiential. I help my students become intimate with their own voice so they can reclaim their power. After my lessons they feel empowered to create, they build self-confidence, get on stage, write and produce music, and share themselves in new ways. Using their voice in the world means they’re sharing their unique essence, their soul’s signature.
In our vocal sessions we work together to cultivate a practice, to develop skill, find the color of your voice through tone, learn about song form, rhythm and phrasing. Mostly we unveil the beauty and potential that has been waiting for you. That is my super-power.

Mentorship with lucia
Mentorships are typically 1, 3, or 6 months in duration, and include fully dedicated sessions with Lucia, tailored to each student, and designed to bring confidence, learning the language of music, and finding inspiration to live a fulfilled musical life.
These sessions have helped students land gigs, shows, overcome fear performing in front of others, and full transformations in their voices.
It’s about technique, and practice, yes, but it’s mostly about finding the courage and agency to be fully expressed in your own artistry. The goal here is not to be perfect, but to feel free, and connected to your first instrument in ways you never have before.
